I have always wanted to be a writer, a columnist, a reporter. This was my dream and I was actually thinking of giving up a permanent pensionable position in order to chase this dream. Now I realise that it is very important to be careful for what you want in case you might actually get it.

If I had landed this job I know now that I would actually be very frustrated, unfulfilled and very poor. Instead I'm now going to start a blog, a space where I can Express my opinions and not be unduly perturbed whether or not these blogs are ever read. 

The first thing I want to write about is the case of what happened in Trim Court last week where a ma was taken into custody for contempt of court and returned sometime later to the court bloodied and dishevelled. At the moment he's in prison.

If this matter is not dealt with by the Minister for Justice immediately then we need to be very afraid for the kind of society that we are living in.
